According to the police, two youths were arrested in connection with the attack and the Lawrence Bishnoi group, active in Punjab and Haryana, assigned the responsibility of killing Salman Khan to these two youths.

Salman Khan has done more than 100 films. He was sentenced to five years in prison for poaching a protected animal in 2018 in a blackbuck poaching case, but his sentence was later suspended.

Lawrence Bishnoi is currently serving a prison sentence for his involvement in several high-profile murder cases, including the 2022 murder of Indian singer Sidhu Musewala.

Recently Baba Siddiqui, a prominent political figure of Mumbai was shot dead. He was considered a very good friend of Salman Khan.

Salim Khan said that 'they are doing all this for us, for our safety, so we have to listen to them.'

On the Bishnoi group's demand that Salman Khan should go to Rajasthan and apologize in a temple, Salim Khan said, "They say, 'Apologise, apologize for what, apologize only when you have done something.' '

He said that 'in forgiveness it is said that I am confessing, so now forgive me. Forgiveness is sought from the one who has hurt or committed a sin.'

He insisted, 'Apologise for what?'

Salim Khan explained, 'To say this is to believe that we have killed someone. Salman did not kill any animal. Salman has never even killed a cockroach.'

He said that 'I myself like animals very much.'

There are rumors that the reason for Baba Siddiqui's death was to save Salman Khan from Lawrence Bishnoi. On this Salim Khan said that 'I don't think this has happened. Baba Siddiqui's death has nothing to do with it.'

Regarding repeated threats, Salim Khan said that there is a tension in the family. There is no denying it. But why apologize? No sin has been committed. Has anyone seen Salman being beaten?'
