Hamza Sohail: 'Iqra was afraid of Aziz and Sajal Ali for a long time'

Pakistani actor Hamza Sohail says that while working with actresses Iqra Aziz and Sajal Ali, he was afraid of them on the set for a long time, but he got to learn a lot from both of them.

Hamza Sohail is currently playing the lead role in two television dramas. He is playing the role of 'Farhad' in 'Romeo and Juliet of Burns Road' along with Iqra Aziz while in the new play 'Zard Patoo Ka Bin' he is playing the role of 'Dr. Naufal'

and actress Sajal Ali in this play. They are with them.

Hamza said that 'few people in the industry have achieved the popularity that Iqra and Sajal have.

'I was afraid of him on set for a long time. I am still afraid of Iqra and Sajal

After watching 'Zard Pattu Ka Bun', viewers have compared the character of Dr. Nofal with that of Dr. Asfi.

The role of Dr. Asfi in the Pakistani drama 'Yaqeen Ka Safar', aired in the year 2018, was well received. The role of Dr. Asfi was played by actor Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali was also with him in this drama.

Hamza says that he has not seen that drama, but he is not unaware that people are comparing his character with Dr. Asfi.

"By the time I found out, our shoot was over," he says. Thankfully, the pressure to fulfill such expectations of the people did not fail.

"Of course, I asked the director Saifi Hasan if we did not repeat anything, he told me that it is a completely different role."

"But I hope that the character of Dr. Naufal has at least the same impact, if not more," he says

The drama serial 'Zard Pathu Ka Bin' is based on themes related to family planning, girl child education and women's health. Why did Hamza choose a script that depends on the lives of women?

He said that when he was offered the role, the story was more important to him than the role.

"A man who is playing an important role in raising voice for women's rights, I didn't have to think about it," he says.

Hamza started his acting career four years ago. After playing lead roles in dramas like 'Raqeeb Se', 'Badshah Begum', he played lead roles in 'Only Tum', 'Fairy Tale' and 'Breaking News'.

His most popular rom-com 'Fairy Tale' got him a lot of acclaim, even getting a second season.

Hamza Sohail's father Sohail Ahmed has been a very important part of Pakistan's entertainment industry for many years.

Hamza says that his father gives career advice, but the journey of both of them to get here is quite different.

"I don't agree with them but they say that the ways of their era were traditional," he says. I think that was the golden period. But the work of both of us is quite different. So they say I should explore and learn by myself.

'They've been very strict all our lives but now that we're older, working things have changed a lot. Hope it keeps getting better.'

Compared to his co-stars, Hamza has played many unique roles in a short span of time. Even now, their roles in both the dramas that are on air are completely different.

Hamza says that like every actor, he also learned a lot from his choices.

'I understood with time what kind of roles I should and should not go for. I keep praying to Allah to give me the ability to learn and understand
